This artwork is inspired by majestic, Angelica Flowers and visiting pollinating bees and wasps. Wasps in particular love this plant and although they often get bad press they are vital pollinators and assist in helping to maintain a healthy ecology.

Declines in the health and population of pollinators pose what could be a significant threat to biodiversity. To underline just how precious pollinators are, I have applied gold leaf to the wasps in the original but also to this special print edition.

The original has been created onto board using Somerset willow charcoal, locally found natural pigments and mud along with some other more conventional paints.
