MURALS AT THE PENNY BROHN HUB

THE POWER OF PLANTS – UNITING NATURE & NOURISHMENT

The shop window is framed by statuesque, chalk, white leek and carrot flowers growing in amongst purple Clary Sage and radish flowers.

Giant, bunched, purple vegetables and their flowers lead your eye up to the ceiling accentuating the elegance of this space. The botanic nature of the murals sets the scene for the Penny Brohn Hub.’

 INTRODUCTION

This vibrant, earthy mural grows throughout the shop and wellbeing rooms, inspired by vegetables and herbs found growing in the kitchen garden. These plants have been carefully selected to fit with the Penny Brohn palette and ethos that good nutrition and complimentary therapies can bring improved health and enrichment enabling you to live well with cancer.

Plants play a vital role in uniting nature and nourishment which is at the heart of everything that Penny Brohn does.

As the basis of my palette I have used local, charcoal, ochres and mud bringing an element of the natural world inside and celebrating the home of this wonderful charity here in Bristol.

WELLBEING ROOMS RECEPTION AREA

Globe artichokes and Carrot flowers

Majestic, Globe Artichokes framed by delicate, carrot flowers give a warm welcome to the wellbeing rooms reception area. These amazing vegetables are packed with nutrients and high in antioxidants. Growing alongside carrot flowers, these companions in the vegetable patch attract many pollinating insects.

As part of this project I have developed a set of three postcards which you can purchase by clicking on the button below which will take you through to my shop. I will make a contribution of 5o pence per sale of each postcard to this amazing charity.
